**** JOB DESCRIPTION**- Use technical, managerial, and administrative skills to ensure that Geographic Information System (GIS) technology is used properly and efficiently within the County.

- Manage and review the work and staff related to GIS operations to accomplish plans and results.

- Manage spatial information needs of the agency and the resources that are needed to meet them.

- Direct maintenance and design of spatial databases utilizing GIS technology and database management tools.

- Assist with the formation of policies, standards, and procedures for the County GIS strategic plan.

- Monitor Federal and State laws and policies.

- Track progress on system implementation and application projects.

- Direct and provide guidance on the GIS activities between different groups, agencies, departments, or individuals.
