Platform Engineer; Chicago

Position: Platform Engineer (Chicago)
Our client is seeking a Platform Engineer to support and maintain their IT infrastructure. The Platform Engineer will work closely with the IT team to ensure systems run efficiently while supporting both technical and non-technical stakeholders. This is a hybrid position based in Cook County, FL.

Platform Engineer's Responsibilities and Duties:

• Provide technical support for Windows desktops and Microsoft Office Suite applications
• Manage and deploy devices using Intune and other PC deployment tools
• Configure and maintain Active Directory environments and Office 365 cloud applications
• Perform desktop imaging, application deployment, hard drive encryption, and domain/group policy management
• Utilize administrative scripting (Power Shell, Python, etc.) to automate processes and support IT operations
• Troubleshoot networking issues including TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP, and Wi-Fi connectivity

Platform Engineer's Qualifications and Skills:

• Associate's degree in Computer Science or related field preferred
• Certifications such as A+, Network+, Microsoft, or VMware are a plus
• Minimum of 2 years of technical support experience, or equivalent education and training
• Strong knowledge of Microsoft Windows desktop operating systems and Microsoft Office Suite
• Working knowledge of Entra , Azure services, and desktop management tools
• Excellent interpersonal, written, and verbal communication skills
