Summary of Essential Duties and Responsibilities
The Information Governance Operations Specialist is responsible for implementing aspects of the Firm’s strategic plan relating to the effective management of client information. The Specialist assists with the coordination, tracking and recording tasks associated with retention policies, ethical wall (information barriers), legal holds and other related processes. The Specialist works closely with the Information Governance Analysts, Technical Support Services team, office records personnel and other members of the Firm Client Services group.
The Specialist requires some knowledge of common technology solutions for storing information in a database format (such as Microsoft Excel, Smart Sheet or others) and some exposure to information management or coursework in Computer Science in an educational or work environment. The Specialist primarily works within the Information Governance but may interact with members of the practice groups, office staff and internal teams to gather and record process tracking information.
Required Qualifications- Bachelor’s or Associate’s degree in fields related to computer science, information science or related field is preferred. Relevant work experience will also be considered.
- Experience or exposure to information management, databases or coursework in related field.
- Substantial familiarity with Microsoft Office products, SharePoint or Smartsheet required.
- Experience working in business or professional services environment.

Compensation is determined upon the market in which the position is located, the responsibilities of the position, the experience and skills of the applicant, and other job-related factors. The starting salary range for this Chicago position is $75,000 to $85,000.
