What you’ll do all day:

• Designing and administering our database infrastructure, which includes Microsoft SQL Server, Postgres.
• Building and managing highly available systems.
• Participating in incident calls and subsequent root cause analysis.
• Deploying systems in a Linux and/or Windows environment.
• Working with developers, infrastructure team and business units to design and deliver the data infrastructure that runs PEAK

• Developing, managing and testing backup and recovery procedures.
• Performance tuning at all levels (hardware, DB instance, application code, etc.).
• Installing, testing and implementing new versions and/or updates.
• Communicating and working well within a team structure.

We’re looking for someone who has:

• BS in Computer Science, Information Systems or related technical degree; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
• 2+ years of experience designing/administering database infrastructure.
• Familiarity with Postgres, Microsoft SQL.
• Working knowledge of shell scripting (bash, python, powershell).
• Exposure to various virtualization technologies such as VMWare and Prox Mox.
• Exposure to system management and deployment platforms such as Salt, Docker and Kubernetes.
• Experience with third‑party database monitoring/administration systems.
• Use of collaboration tools such as Slack, Jira, Confluence and Zoom.

As a hybrid workforce, we allow employees to work remotely up to two days a week. Base pay may vary depending on job‑related knowledge, skills, and experience. This position may also be eligible for a discretionary annual bonus and a range of health & wellness benefits that enhance your overall compensation package.

Base Salary Range: $76,400–$95,500
