Work schedule : M-F 8:00 AM - 5:00 PM CST. Hybrid model requiring on-site presence Tuesday through Thursday at the AON Center, and remote flexibility Monday and Friday.

Overview

The Oracle EPM Cloud Expert delivers technical and functional development expertise to support Oracle Planning (EPBCS) applications. This hands-on staff augmentation role focuses on executing automated batch processes, managing data reloads, performing complex system reconciliations, and resolving live data discrepancies. The engineer balances database optimization with custom development to ensure system reliability and seamless alignment across Snowflake data clouds and SAP Central Finance environments.

Job Specifications

Key Responsibilities

  • Hands-on Development :
    Design, build, test, and support Oracle EPM Planning (EPBCS) architectures. Maintain and continuously optimize custom business rules, calculation scripts, and Groovy scripting.

  • Batch Processing & Automation :
    Monitor, execute, and troubleshoot EPM batch jobs and integration pipelines. Build and adjust Windows batch scripts utilized for EPM Automate processes.

  • Data Reconciliation & Troubleshooting :
    Actively identify, analyze, and resolve complex data discrepancies across EPM applications, source tools, and downstream reports. Conduct deep-dive data validation between Oracle EPM, Snowflake, and SAP Central Finance (CFIN).

  • Database & Query Support :
    Apply advanced SQL logic within Snowflake to support data validation, troubleshoot integration pipelines, and resolve data flow anomalies.

  • First 30-Day Priorities :
    Take immediate ownership of day-to-day batch job executions, deploy master data and calculation script updates as requested, and resolve outstanding system data discrepancies.

  • Process & Governance :
    Participate actively in Agile SDLC environments (sprint planning, daily stand-ups, retrospectives). Coordinate system change management routines, production releases, and ensure absolute compliance with internal SOX controls, documentation standards, and audit specifications.

Must Have Skills / Requirements

  • Oracle EPM Mastery :
    Intensive hands-on development experience with Oracle Planning (EPBCS) platforms.

  • Cube Architecture Expertise :
    Deep technical knowledge of Essbase ASO and BSO concepts, including structural configuration, performance tuning, and database optimization.

  • Scripting Competency :
    Proven capability writing and debugging custom calculation scripts and Groovy scripts from scratch.

  • Advanced Data Querying :
    Proficient command of advanced SQL (Snowflake environments highly preferred) to isolate and repair multi-system data differences.

  • EPM Automation :
    Experience with automated data loading routines utilizing EPM Automate and Windows batch scripting structures.

  • SAP Integration Knowledge :
    Functional understanding of SAP Central Finance (CFIN) infrastructures to safely diagnose integration points and cross-system data flows.

Soft Skills & Governance

  • Strong analytical, root-cause troubleshooting, and critical problem-solving mindset.

  • Excellent interpersonal, verbal, and written communication skills to handle multi-layered stakeholder management.

  • Proven ability to operate autonomously and productively within a fast-paced corporate framework.

  • Direct background working with formalized IT Change Management rules and SOX compliance/audit controls.

Education & Experience

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Finance, Accounting, or a related technical discipline preferred.

  • Verified multi-year track record of technical success acting as an Oracle EPM engineer or Techno functional consultant.
