Data Engineer, Data Analyst, IT Consultant, Systems Engineer
Hybrid role:
Onsite work in Chicago, IL required Tuesday through Thursday
W2 Candidates only
Key Responsibilities
- Design, develop, and support Oracle EPM Planning (EPBCS).
- Demonstrate deep expertise in Essbase ASO and BSO concepts, including performance optimization.
- Develop and maintain business rules, calculations, and Groovy scripts.
- Create, execute, and troubleshoot Windows batch scripts for EPM automation processes.
- Monitor, execute, and troubleshoot batch jobs and integrations.
- Analyze and resolve data discrepancies across EPM, source systems, and downstream reporting.
- Perform data reconciliation between Oracle EPM, Snowflake, SAP, and other upstream/downstream systems.
- Write and troubleshoot Snowflake SQL queries to support data validation and issue resolution.
- Collaborate with SAP teams and leverage knowledge of SAP Central Finance (CFIN) to troubleshoot integration and data flow issues.
- Participate in Agile SDLC activities, including sprint planning, stand-ups, reviews, and retrospectives.
- Support change management, deployments, and production releases.
- Ensure compliance with SOX controls, documentation standards, and audit requirements.
- Work closely with finance, IT, and business stakeholders to resolve issues and improve system reliability.
Required Skills & Qualifications
- Strong hands-on experience with:
Oracle Planning (EPBCS), Essbase ASO & BSO, and EPM Automate Scripting - Advanced expertise in:
Calculation scripts, Groovy scripting, and performance tuning and optimization - Proficiency in Windows batch scripting
- Experience executing and troubleshooting EPM batch processes
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills for data discrepancies
- Solid knowledge of Snowflake SQL
- Experience working with SAP CFIN (integration and troubleshooting)
- Strong understanding of SDLC (Agile) methodologies
- Experience with Change Management processes
- Knowledge of SOX compliance, controls, and audit support
