Job Overview
The US Security Administration and Operations Analyst at CIBC is responsible for administering user and system profile access and is the primary technical writer for information security procedures. The role ensures that controls and procedures are followed, manages periodic access certifications, and supports regulatory exams and audits.
Key Responsibilities- Administer user and system profile access across various applications and systems.
- Create, delete, and modify user profiles and maintain account lifecycle.
- Enforce security policies and perform periodic access control reviews.
- Assist with audits and compliance reviews including SOX audits and Regulatory Exams.
- Document procedures, policies, and controls, ensuring content quality and accessibility.
- Research end‑user problems and provide accurate, timely resolutions.
- Advise management on information security policies, standards, procedures, violations, and risks.
- Lead the review and creation of detailed documentation, including workflows and steps required to maintain and minimize security impacts.
- Identify outdated access control protocols and recommend modernization to strengthen IAM security.
- Research and recommend approaches for projects and system administration tasks; participate as an Access Administration SME on projects.
Skills & Qualifications
- Previous experience in a similar role within an enterprise environment.
- University degree in Information Technology Management or equivalent work experience; industry‑recognized certifications are a plus.
- Experience using identity management systems such as NetIQ or SailPoint.
- Proficiency in writing procedure documentation, quick‑start guides, and other technical materials.
- Strong written and oral communication skills with clear, grammar‑correct English.
- Ability to convey technical concepts to multiple audiences.
- Strong presentation skills.
- Capacity to work under pressure, meet deadlines, and provide exemplary customer service.
- Independent work style with adherence to prescribed routines and accepted practices.
- Familiarity with Active Directory.
- Rapid learning ability in a fast‑paced environment.
- Experience with direct internal and external customer interaction.
- Excellent organizational, time‑management, project coordination, and customer‑service skills.
- Strong quantitative, analytical, and problem‑solving skills.
- Team‑player attitude and the ability to collaborate across functions.
Work Location:
IL-70 W Madison St, 8th Floor. Work arrangement: 2 days in office, 3 days remote.
