ETL Developer - IBM Data Stage & Snap Logic (PIM Program)
We are seeking an experienced ETL Developer with expertise in IBM Data Stage to support the Caterpillar Digital PIM Development Program. The role will focus on development and production support using IBM Data Stage and Snap Logic.
Your Role- Design, develop, and maintain ETL jobs using IBM Data Stage and Snap Logic for PIM data pipelines
- Perform code enhancements, bug fixes, and performance tuning of existing ETL jobs
- Ensure data quality, integrity, and consistency across systems
- Troubleshoot production issues and provide timely resolution
- Knowledge of IBM Information Data Quality (IDQ) is important
- Experience with P360 integration (via P360 APIs) is highly desirable
- Provide ongoing support for ETL jobs and data pipelines
- Investigate data discrepancies, performance issues, and job failures
- Perform Root Cause Analysis (RCA) and implement preventive measures
- Collaborate with monitoring teams for incident management and SLA adherence
- Work closely with PIM functional teams, offshore teams, and downstream system owners
- Provide technical inputs for solution design and roadmap planning
- Coordinate effectively across onshore and offshore teams
- Participate in Agile ceremonies (daily stand-ups, sprint planning, status reporting)
- Maintain technical design documents, ETL specifications, and runbooks
- Ensure adherence to coding standards, data governance, and security policies
- Strong experience in IBM Data Stage and Snap Logic
- Expertise in parallel jobs, server jobs, and job sequencing
- API integrations (Data Stage/Snap Logic to external systems)
- Performance tuning and optimization
- Hands‑on experience with Snap Logic (mandatory): pipeline development, Snap Packs, REST/SOAP integrations
- Strong SQL skills (complex queries, performance tuning)
- Demonstrated ownership mindset and accountability
- Experience with cloud platforms (AWS preferred)
- Familiarity with PIM/Data domain systems
- Knowledge of monitoring tools such as Cloud Watch, Thousand Eyes, etc.
- Strong problem‑solving and analytical abilities
- Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills
- Ability to quickly understand and ramp up on existing Data Stage pipelines
- Strong ownership of production stability and SLA compliance
The base compensation range for this role in the posted location is: $83,000 to $192,000.
