Database Administrator

Job Summary:

The System Database Administrator reports to and works under the guidance and supervision of the Chief Information Officer (CIO) and Director of Infrastructure. The individual is responsible for the installation, configuration, administration, monitoring, maintenance, optimization, security, and lifecycle management of enterprise database systems and related data technologies. This role supports mission-critical applications, modern cloud-enabled infrastructure, enterprise reporting platforms, financial systems, payment processing environments, and high-availability data architectures.

The Database Administrator works closely with software developers, cybersecurity personnel, infrastructure teams, business analysts, and technical operations staff to ensure optimal system performance, reliability, scalability, and data integrity. The System Database Administrator will assist in implementing modern database technologies, automation tools, disaster recovery solutions, and enterprise monitoring systems while supporting ongoing digital transformation initiatives. The role also supports the deployment and maintenance of hybrid and cloud-based environments, data integration platforms, business intelligence systems, and secure data governance standards.

The individual will participate in system upgrades, production releases, quality assurance testing, change management procedures, and after-hours support as part of an on-call rotation to ensure continuity of operations. ·
