About the job you're considering

We are seeking a Quality Automation Lead / Senior SDET to drive end-to-end automation strategy and delivery for complex enterprise applications. This is a hands-on, client-facing role based in one of the locations mentioned above, requiring a strong technologist who can lead modernization efforts while actively contributing to engineering excellence.

The ideal candidate is a builder and innovator who adopts AI-driven automation, Playwright-based testing, and Model Context Protocol (MCP) to enable intelligent, scalable, and context-aware testing systems.

Your role

* Drive and execute the automation strategy and roadmap aligned to business priorities and release cycles.

* Design and implement scalable, modular automation frameworks across UI, API, and data layers.

* Lead hands-on test automation using Playwright, ensuring reliability, maintainability, and high coverage.

* Apply Model Context Protocol (MCP) to enable context-aware, AI-assisted testing and improved traceability.

* Develop and integrate API automation suites using Postman into regression packs and enterprise pipelines.

* Embed automation within CI/CD pipelines (Azure Dev Ops, Jenkins) with clear quality gates and release metrics.

* Partner with stakeholders and offshore teams to deliver measurable quality outcomes, including defect analysis and continuous improvement.

Your skills and experience

* 3-10 years of experience in QA/Test Automation with strong hands-on engineering expertise.

* Proven experience building automation frameworks using Playwright (preferred) or similar modern tools.

* Strong programming skills in Python, Java, or JavaScript for test automation development.

* Hands-on experience with API testing and automation (Postman, Rest Assured, or equivalent).

* Exposure to Model Context Protocol (MCP) or similar context-driven/AI-integrated testing approaches.

* Experience integrating automation into CI/CD pipelines using Azure Dev Ops, Jenkins, and Git.

* Exposure to AI/GenAI-enabled testing (LLMs, prompt engineering, or AI-assisted scripting/debugging).

The base compensation range for this role in the posted location is $68,911 - $161544.
