Amazon Web Services (AWS) is looking for a Network Deployment Build Lead to join its infrastructure operations team. The role focuses on delivering stability, scaling data‑center capacity, and improving network automation.

• Build first‑level router aggregates and core console network for new rooms.
• Support network scaling projects across multiple data‑center locations.
• Manage work and priorities through ticketing system and workflows to complete customer requests and projects.
• Collaborate with stakeholders to remove project obstacles.
• Troubleshoot networking, routing, and interconnectivity issues, including device configuration and application interaction.
• Troubleshoot cabling infrastructure issues—including patch panels and cords.
• Specify power and cooling requirements, and ensure hardware racking/stacking for new equipment.
• Participate in migration, basic configuration, and rollout of new or upgraded hardware.
• Move and lift computer equipment up to 50 lbs.
• Travel up to 60% within the geographical work area; additional travel may be required.

• 1+ years of computer networking experience.
• 1+ years of Linux operating systems experience.
• Bachelor's degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or related field.
• Experience with computer networking and Linux operating systems.
• Can lift and rack equipment up to 40 pounds.
• Experience with computer hardware troubleshooting and repair.

• Can work in cramped spaces or elevated locations while adhering to health & safety guidelines.
• Experience dealing effectively with customers during problem resolution and operating efficiently under pressure.
• Experience managing work and priorities through a ticketing system.
• Experience with cabling infrastructure best practices and methodologies.
• Experience working in a data center environment (racking and stacking gear, cable management, hot/cold aisle containment).

USD 30.00 – 54.00 per hour (United States, Illinois, Chicago).
