Key Responsibilities

As a Director in the Deal Technology practice, you will manage and execute IT‑focused projects across sectors, working day‑to‑day with investment teams, operating partners, and C‑Suite executives at middle‑market portfolio companies. You will develop and execute strategies for transactions, including pre‑deal operational and carve‑out planning, and post‑deal integration planning and value creation. A commercial mindset is key.

Qualifications – To Qualify
  • Bachelor’s degree in business, accounting, finance, engineering, computer science, business information and operations management, or analytics, and 5 years of related work experience; or a graduate degree with approximately 3 years of related work experience.
  • MBA preferred.
  • Significant management consulting experience.
  • Excellent analytical skills and ability to translate complex data into meaningful insights.
  • Interest in private equity dynamics and stakeholder navigation.
  • Experience in business integrations, divestitures, and/or carve‑outs with quantitative and qualitative analysis aptitude.
  • Experience leading and managing in complex business environments.
  • Ability to synthesize approaches to complex integration/divestiture conflicts.
  • Excellent negotiation and influencing skills, and ability to build long‑lasting relationships.
  • Expertise in a minimum of four IT skillsets, including IT strategy, enterprise architecture, cloud architecture, cyber & IAM architecture, digital technology strategy, IT operating model transformation, IT cost reduction, IT security, IT shared services, ERP implementation, digital business enablement, cloud SaaS/PaaS strategy, cloud IaaS migration, IAM/ADA strategy, IT service management, operations center, IT TSA development, IT finance management, IT infrastructure management, IT outsourcing, IT contract management, IT diligence, IT synergy identification, data governance, integration and separation planning, and key business processes such as procurement to pay and order to cash.
  • Must reside in or be commutable to the office location.
  • Willingness to travel and work beyond standard hours when necessary.
Ideal Experience
  • Proven record of excellence in an IT transactions role.
  • Experience with in a large professional services organization.
  • Knowledge of firm‑approved AI tools in business settings.
  • Established networking skills in relevant industry.
Compensation and Benefits

The base salary range for this role in the US is $205,000 to $235,000, with additional performance‑based rewards. Total Rewards includes medical and dental coverage, pension and 401(k) plans, and paid time off options.

Employees work a hybrid model, 40‑60% in‑person for client engagements.

Flexible vacation policy with self‑determined time off, plus designated EY Paid Holidays and other leaves of absence.

Travel Requirements

Travel and work outside of standard hours may be required based on client and project needs.
