We are currently searching for an Unpaid Part-Time Information Systems Department Intern
Job qualifications
- Currently enrolled in a Bachelor's or Master's Degree program in information technology or related field required.
- Candidate must have bachelor's degree or master's degree in information, technology or related field preferred.
- Candidate must be organized and have capabilities for setting priorities.
- Candidate must have a desire to learn and adapt in a corporate environment.
- Candidate must have strong self-starter skills and willing to collaborate within a team environment.
- Candidate must be willing to work, hybrid, remote, and an office.
- Candidate must have strong communication skills, preferred.
- Candidate must be willing to learn project management skills and other leadership, communication skills.
- Candidate must have the ability to work effectively with diverse individuals and groups.
Can include some or all of the following;
- Will learn and support the use of Articulate 360 platform, an e-learning course development tool to help staff create e-learning content courses tailored to their program needs and publish to our learning management system.
- Will learn and support the use of Confluence, our preferred agency wide documentation hub which will house department and program information for staff to access resources, policies, project/teamwork across the agency.
- Will learn and support any enterprise application projects that may require development.
- Will learn and support any general application projects that may require expertise and support with license/account management, training for staff.
- Will learn and support cyber security and fishing awareness trainings to staff for quarterly compliance standards within our department.
- Will learn from and assist the Director of Information Systems Project Management by working through project plans, executing project tasks, and holding support meetings with stakeholders to fulfill incoming project requests from the helpdesk.
- Will learn and support any incoming helpdesk requests and tickets submitted by users, agency wide. Additionally, may be asked to support in staff trainings on Information Systems Application topics.
- Will learn and support the system operations team in fulfilling project tasks related to network and servers, equipment, E-Fax, Zoom, or other projects as assigned.
- Will learn and support the use of tableau application by uploading systems data and visualizing it for analytics from stakeholders agency wide to help drive business decisions.
- Will be encouraged to use Zoom platform as a form of team communication and coordination of project tasks for ongoing collaboration within teams and the entire information systems department.
- Will learn and support the use of project management tools, such as, Jira and Microsoft planner to track project tasks, activities, and other outcomes towards project completion.
- While performing the essential duties of this internship, the intern is required to sit and stand for sustained periods of time, frequently talk, hear, use hands and fingers to feel, handle and operate objects or controls, and occasionally stand, bend, stretch, stoop, kneel and crouch.
- The intern is required to have close visual acuity to perform an activity such as preparing and analyzing data and figures, transcribing and viewing a computer terminal.
- The Intern may occasionally lift and/or move up to 25 pounds.
