As part of Box's Strategic Sourcing Value team, you will partner with Engineering, Product, and Security stakeholders to lead sourcing strategy, supplier selection, commercial negotiations, and contract execution across technology categories such as SaaS, cloud infrastructure, developer tools, cybersecurity, AI‑enabled solutions, and technical services.

• Translate business requirements into sourcing strategies across software, cloud, developer tools, cybersecurity, AI, and technical services.
• Lead RFx processes, supplier evaluations, commercial negotiations, and contracting.
• Assess suppliers based on technical fit, security requirements, total cost of ownership, scalability, and business value.
• Collect data and perform spend analysis; report market trends, savings, and improvement opportunities.
• Own and drive cross‑functional alignment across Engineering, Security, Legal, Finance, and Procurement, providing executive summaries to Box leadership.
• Negotiate commercial terms for SaaS, cloud, security, AI, and technical services agreements—including SLAs, termination, license definitions, and renewal clauses.
• Drive supplier performance management, conduct business reviews, and continually create value.
• Develop relationships with internal partners, bringing a customer‑service mindset.
• Structure agreements to balance speed, flexibility, risk mitigation, and long‑term value.
• Resolve major supplier performance issues.

• Bachelor’s degree in Business, Information Systems, Finance, Procurement, or a related field with 5‑7 years of experience in strategic sourcing. Master’s degree and/or APICS certification is a plus.
• Experience supporting Engineering, Product, Infrastructure, IT, or Security stakeholders.
• Extensive knowledge and experience of SaaS software.
• Strong cost modeling skills using Excel or other tools.
• Proven experience negotiating SaaS, cloud, software licensing, security, and professional services agreements.
• 4+ years of experience reviewing, drafting, and negotiating commercial contracts with suppliers.
• Independent work capability with strong teamwork, communication, presentation, and interpersonal skills.
• Commercial acumen and business judgment.
• Knowledge of market rates and benchmarks among industry peers.
• Excellent influencing, negotiation, presentation, and stakeholder management skills.
• Experience interacting with all levels of an organization, from business owner to C‑Suite.
• Detail oriented, analytical, and proactive thinker.
• Highly organized multitasker who can prioritize in a fast‑paced environment.
