Senior System Engineer

We’re partnering with a globally recognized, multi-billion-dollar organization with 20+ offices worldwide and thousands of employees across several continents. Their infrastructure supports critical global operations, and they’re actively modernizing it with automation and AI work already underway. This is a tenured, low-turnover team, and the role is open due to an internal promotion.

You’ll help support and improve a large enterprise infrastructure environment spanning thousands of systems across multiple regions, with a heavy focus on Linux, virtualization, identity and access, and automation. This is not a help desk or junior systems administration role.

• Keep a large global environment stable, from access issues to major outages
• Drive modernization, automation, migration, and security work
• Manage identity and access infrastructure across multiple regions
• Support cloud technologies that complement a primarily on-prem environment
• Cover an on-call rotation (about every 8 weeks) and a monthly maintenance window

• Heavy, hands‑on Linux engineering, administration, and support with some Windows Server
• A primarily on‑prem environment with selective cloud
• Container and automation technologies that cut manual effort
• Enterprise monitoring, patching, and systems management

• Strong infrastructure fundamentals and real enterprise‑scale experience
• Enjoys solving complex problems and owning production systems
• Comfortable in business‑critical environments where uptime and security matter
• Collaborative, curious, coachable, low ego, and looking for a long‑term home
