Role Service Now Technical Architect
Location Chicago, IL Hybrid Role
Duration Fulltime Role

Must Have Technical/Functional Skills
Serve as the Service Now Technical Architect who will assist the team and client in planning, platform technical advisory and guidance.
Maintains the stability and usability of the platform across production and non-production environments
Performs application maintenance to include performance monitoring and error identification and remediation
Provide Service Now Platform and product technical subject matter expert (SME) assistance.
Leads upgrade planning and execution
Manage instance security: user/group access, administration, access control lists. etc.
Provides configuration assistance to developers
Collect product and service requirements from business stakeholders to align Service Now functionalities with enterprise needs.
Design and communicate Technical Architecture Blueprint based on capability and technical requirements to align to business outcomes.
Agree and confirm with Client the technical design and integration requirements for the required integration of system interfaces.
Manage system documentation, runbooks and knowledge articles.
ITSM, ITOM, HRSD, CSM, Sec Ops, IRM, SPM
Roles & Responsibilities
Design end-to-end Service Now solutions across modules (ITSM, ITOM, HRSD, CSM, Sec Ops, IRM, SPM)
Define technical architecture, data models, integration patterns, and customization strategy
Ensure compliance with Service Now best practices and out-of-the-box-first principles
Establish development standards, coding guidelines, and architectural guardrails
Review and approval:
Custom apps
Script includes
Integrations
Complex workflows & automation
Ensure upgrade-safe, maintainable solutions
Architect and guide integrations using:
REST/SOAP APIs
MID Server
Spokes & Integration Hub
Event-driven / async patterns
Ensure data consistency, security, and performance
Security & Compliance
Leadership & Mentoring
