As part of a best-in-class Global Health Product & Platforms team, the IT Leader, North America Health will help empower results for our clients and colleagues by delivering innovative and effective technology solutions across our North America Health portfolio!

Responsibilities
  • Lead IT application development and product line ownership, overseeing the end‑to‑end technology roadmap and delivery for health solutions and platforms.
  • Ensure solutions are strategically aligned to business outcomes, technically robust, scalable, secure, and delivered through modern AI, Agile and Dev Ops practices.
  • Direct development managers, technical leads, developers, and offshore vendor resources.
  • Serve as the primary technology contact for North America Health product and business leaders.
Portfolio & Product Line Ownership
  • Own and manage a portfolio roadmap that balances deployment of global platforms, new feature development, platform modernization and cloud transformation, regulatory/compliance requirements, and technical debt reduction.
  • Define and prioritize the product backlog, translating business strategies and client needs into technology capabilities and multi‑year roadmaps that enable business growth and operational efficiency.
  • Partner closely with Product Owners, Business Leaders, and Operations to align technology strategy, roadmap, and delivery outcomes.
Technology Strategy
  • Drive the ongoing AI and cloud transformation of the North America Health application portfolio.
  • Evaluate and incorporate modern technologies and architectures (e.g., Agentic AI, Vibe.code, event‑driven architectures) to improve scalability, resilience, and integration across the health ecosystem.
  • Ensure the technology roadmap is adequately resourced, including capacity and skills planning, sourcing strategy (internal and external), and budget and investment alignment.
AI and Delivery Excellence
  • Transform teams into a fully AI‑led delivery model, championing rapid, AI‑driven iterative delivery, robust backlog management, and close business/IT collaboration.
  • Embed Continuous Integration / Continuous Delivery (CI/CD) and Dev Ops practices to improve stability, release frequency, and speed‑to‑market.
  • Define and track key delivery and product metrics (velocity, defect rates, uptime, performance, customer satisfaction) for internal teams and vendor partners.
Application Development Leadership
  • Lead the end‑to‑end development efforts for one or more major health platforms, overseeing a core team of managers, developers, solution architects, and system analysts, plus extended vendor partners.
  • Maintain application code base quality, ensuring maintainability, supportability, extensibility, and performance while adhering to engineering standards and guidelines.
  • Act as the escalation point for all development and technical issues related to the application and product group.
  • Drive continuous improvement in development processes, quality, and cycle times through metrics, retrospectives, and targeted initiatives.
People Leadership & Vendor Management
  • Manage development managers, solution architects, technical leads, and developers, providing hiring, coaching, mentoring, and performance management.
  • Build multi‑functional, cross‑skilled teams capable of delivering complex solutions and ensure alignment to standards, practices, and shared goals.
  • Maintain relationships with primary business vendors, ensuring clear expectations on delivery, quality, performance, effective governance, and value improvement.
  • Measure and report on team and vendor performance against agreed key performance indicators, cultivating a culture of accountability, innovation, and collaboration.
Financial Management & Governance
  • Handle budgeting, forecasting, and tracking of financials for the NA Health IT portfolio and projects.
  • Identify and drive optimization opportunities and ensure compliance with enterprise architecture, security, risk, and governance standards.
