Chicago headquartered HFT searching for an experienced SRE to help improve and innovate the production trading environment. Focus will be on ownership of operations and engineering to ensure robustness of their world class trading systems, via optimization, observability and automation.
Responsibilities- Design and build performant monitoring and alerting systems.
- Drive efficiency via automating what can be, and optimizing what can't.
- Allow for low latency / high throughput via debugging low level performance issues.
- Partner with engineering/networking/trading teams to gather business priorities.
- 4+ YOE proven track record solving real world and high stakes reliability issues.
- 4+ YOE advanced Python/C++ coding.
- 4+ YOE advanced Linux operating systems knowledge, distributed systems is a bonus.
- Appetite for operational work to ensure mission critical systems are healthy.
- Minimum Bachelors in Computer Science or similar STEM field.
