Cyber Security Project Manager

Location:

Hybrid – Chicago, IL

Base Pay Range

$65.00/hr - $75.00/hr

Role Overview

We are seeking experienced Cybersecurity Project Managers to lead strategic initiatives across key cybersecurity domains including:

  • Privileged Access Management (PAM)
  • Identity Governance and Administration (IGA)
  • Identity Authentication and Authorization (IAA)
  • Data Protection (DP)
Key Responsibilities
  • Project Delivery: Lead global cross‑functional teams (technical & non‑technical), define project benefits and ensure successful outcomes.
  • Risk & Issue Management: Manage risks, issues, dependencies, and schedules; resolve conflicts and elevate as needed.
  • Project Documentation: Maintain project artifacts and ensure quality deliverables.
  • Communication & Stakeholder Management: Develop charters, communication plans, engage stakeholders, and apply critical thinking to resolve complex issues.
  • Scope & Change Control: Define and document scope, manage change controls and ensure compliance with change management procedures.
  • Financial Management: Manage budgets ($250K–$3M), create forecasts, perform variance analysis, optimize spend, and participate in annual planning.
  • Staff Management: Identify and manage project resource needs, provide performance feedback, and foster collaboration.
Required Skills & Experience
  • 10+ years total experience, including 5+ years in tech project management (preferably in Financial Services).
  • Proven experience in Cybersecurity Project Management (IAM, PAM, IGA, IAA, DP, Security Ops).
  • Strong organizational, problem‑solving, and communication skills.
  • Experience in matrixed environments and stakeholder engagement.
  • Delivery‑focused mindset with strong analytical skills.
  • Proficiency in Clarity PPM, Microsoft Office 365 (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Teams), PowerBI, Tableau.
  • Familiarity with Agile, Scrum, and Waterfall methodologies.
  • Experience in demand & capacity management.
  • Bachelor’s degree required; MBA or advanced degree preferred.
  • Certifications:

    PMP strongly preferred.
