As a leading, global financial information services provider, Fitch Group delivers vital credit and risk insights, robust data, and dynamic tools to champion more efficient, transparent financial markets. With over 100 years of experience and colleagues in over 30 countries, Fitch Group’s culture of credibility, independence, and transparency is embedded throughout its structure, which includes Fitch Ratings, one of the world’s top three credit ratings agencies, and Fitch Solutions, a leading provider of insights, data and analytics.

With dual headquarters in London and New York, Fitch Group is owned by Hearst.

Fitch Group is currently seeking an Employee Communications Business Partner (ECBP) based out of our Chicago or New York office.

Fitch Group is seeking an experienced Employee Communications Business Partner (ECBP) to lead communications for its Technology & Data (T&D) organization during a period of significant innovation, transformation, and growth.

This role is designed for a strategic storyteller and data‑driven communications leader - someone who can translate complex technology, data, and AI initiatives into clear, compelling narratives that resonate with diverse audiences and drive real business and people outcomes.

The ECBP will be a trusted advisor to senior Tech & Data leaders, responsible not only for executing communications, but for shaping narratives, surfacing proof points, and using insights and measurement to continuously sharpen impact. This role sits within the Employee Communications team in Human Resources and works in close partnership with Corporate Communications, Technology & Data leadership, and cross‑functional stakeholders.

How

You’ll Make an Impact:

Strategic Narrative & Storytelling
  • Develop and steward the end‑to‑end Tech & Data strategic narrative, translating technical and operational priorities into human, outcome‑focused stories that connect employee actions to Tech & Data and enterprise strategy.
  • Shape clear, audience‑specific storylines for multiple audiences, including Tech & Data employees, all Fitch employees, leaders, managers, and external‑facing partners, ensuring relevance and clarity at every level.
  • Act as a translator between technical teams and non‑technical audiences, producing jargon‑free communications focused on “what changed, why it matters, and what to do next.”
Proof‑Point & Impact Story Development
  • Build and maintain a proactive Tech & Data proof‑point pipeline, identifying, shaping, and packaging stories that evidence progress against strategic priorities such as Data & AI, product innovation, modernization, security, and people initiatives.
  • Partner closely with Technology, Data, AI, Security, and Product teams to surface real‑world outcomes (adoption, usage, confidence, and behavior change), not just activity updates.
  • Elevate and amplify the strongest proof points enterprise‑wide, aligning with campaign moments, leadership communications, and firmwide storytelling opportunities.
Campaign Strategy, Sequencing & Execution
  • Lead strategy and execution for high‑impact Tech & Data campaigns and programs, including AI enablement, Modern Workplace adoption, security awareness, change initiatives, and major organizational milestones.
  • Design campaign approaches that reflect audience‑centered design, modular content, and intentional sequencing to reduce noise and maximize relevance.
  • Integrate listening‑cycle communications (pre‑survey engagement, participation drives, “you said, we did” updates) into broader communications plans.
Measurement, Insights & Optimization
  • Own communications outcomes by designing and applying measurement frameworks that go beyond awareness to assess engagement, sentiment, adoption, and behavior change.
  • Analyze data from intranet, Teams, email, events, and employee listening to diagnose what’s working, what’s not, and why, and translate insights into actionable recommendations.
  • Deliver regular, insight‑led impact readouts to senior stakeholders, demonstrating how communications drive strategic and people…
