Job DescriptionWe are seeking an experienced QA Tester with strong Automation and Governance experience to join a dynamic team in Chicago, IL. The ideal candidate will be responsible for ensuring software quality through comprehensive testing strategies, automation frameworks, governance compliance, and quality assurance best practices.
Required Skills- 7 years of Quality Assurance and Software Testing experience.
- Strong experience in Test Automation using tools such as Selenium, Cypress, Playwright, UFT, or similar.
- Experience developing and maintaining automated test frameworks.
- Expertise in QA Governance, Test Management, and Quality Processes
. - Experience creating test plans, test strategies, test cases, and traceability matrices.
- Hands‑on experience with API Testing (Postman, REST Assured, SoapUI).
- Strong SQL skills for backend/database validation.
- Experience with Agile/Scrum methodologies.
- Familiarity with CI/CD tools such as Jenkins, Git Hub Actions, Azure Dev Ops, or Git Lab.
- Experience using defect management and test management tools such as Jira, ALM, Zephyr, or qTest.
- Strong analytical and problem‑solving skills.
- Banking or Financial Services domain experience.
- Experience with Governance, Risk, Compliance (GRC), or audit-related QA processes.
- Knowledge of performance testing tools such as JMeter or Load Runner.
- Exposure to cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, Google Cloud Platform).
- Automation certifications or QA certifications are a plus.
- Design and execute manual and automated test cases.
- Develop, enhance, and maintain automation frameworks.
- Establish and enforce QA governance standards and testing best practices.
- Collaborate with developers, business analysts, and product owners.
- Track defects through resolution and ensure high-quality releases.
- Participate in sprint planning, reviews, and retrospectives.
- Prepare quality metrics, dashboards, and governance reports.
- Ensure compliance with organizational quality standards and regulatory requirements.
