Solution Architect - Azure Integration Services

Job Description

The Solution Architect will provide end to end technical leadership for migrating IBM ACE workflows and Sterling based B2B/EDI integrations to Azure Integration Services (AIS), while shaping an AI enabled Integration Factory. This role is critical for high volume, business critical integrations, and high visibility.

• 12–15+ years in enterprise integration architecture
• Strong hands on experience with:
  • IBM ACE / IIB
  • Azure Integration Services
• Proven experience in large scale ESB migrations
• Deep understanding of:
  • B2B/EDI standards (X12, EDIFACT, AS2)
  • High volume transaction systems (OMS, Finance)
• Strong architectural foundation in:
  • API led connectivity
  • Event driven architectures
• Experience designing factory or ICC models
• Exposure to AI assisted modernization is a strong plus

• Own target integration architecture for IBM ACE → AIS migration.
• Define factory architecture using Logic Apps (Standard), Azure Functions, Service Bus, API Management.
• Lead complex interface strategy, including:
  • IBM TX based transformations
  • Canonical data model design
  • Decoupling and event driven patterns
• Architect B2B/EDI modernization:
  • Assess migration feasibility from Sterling B2B / File Gateway
  • Define approach using Azure native EDI capabilities and partner integrations
• Review and enhance existing migration framework, especially for:
  • High volume transactional flows
  • Orchestrations spanning multiple internal & third party systems
• Define non functional requirements:
  • Throughput, latency, resiliency
  • DR, security, compliance
• Establish governance, patterns, and guardrails aligned to an Integration Factory model.
• Champion AI and automation adoption:
  • AI assisted interface assessment
  • Migration acceleration using Azure AI Foundry Agentic integration patterns
