About the Role

Join a high-impact team at the forefront of fraud prevention and digital transformation. In this newly created role, you’ll lead the implementation and optimization of a next‑generation fraud orchestration platform that connects multiple vendor solutions into a single, streamlined experience. You’ll work closely with Fraud, Product, Technology, and Business leaders across the bank, gaining exposure to enterprise‑wide initiatives that directly protect customers and reduce fraud losses.

This role requires a hybrid work model with 2‑3 days in the office. It is an individual contributor position with no direct reports.

Core Responsibilities
  • Perform sophisticated data analytics to identify known or previously unidentified criminal behaviors among customer and employee groups.
  • Identify and understand new and emerging patterns of fraud, both external and internal.
  • Develop and maintain models, metrics, scenarios, profiles, and parameters to improve the efficiency of fraud detection systems.
  • Support the development and execution of strategic initiatives in collaboration with stakeholders.
  • Drive innovation through the development of data products, establish best practices, and influence data governance guidelines and policies.
  • Develop complex technical rules and scenarios to maximize the effectiveness of fraud detection and prevention programs.
  • Apply statistical, data mining, and pattern‑analysis techniques to determine relationships between transactions, customer data, and known or predicted fraudulent behaviors.
Key Skills & Experience
  • 5+ years of experience writing complex SQL queries.
  • Advanced knowledge of statistical analysis.
  • Proven expertise in identifying fraud through metrics and database queries in SQL and/or SAS.
  • Experience with fraud vendors such as Threat Metrix, Alloy, and Biocatch.
  • 5+ years of implementing controls and onboarding fraud vendors.
  • Expertise with PowerPoint slides.
  • Expertise with MS Excel (pivot tables, conditional formatting, etc.).
  • Experience with Power BI.
Qualifications
  • Typically 7+ years of relevant experience and a master’s degree in a related field.
  • Advanced technical skills and knowledge in fraud and security management.
  • Advanced knowledge of statistical analyses and human‑behavior modeling.
  • In‑depth knowledge of risk and technology management as applied to fraud and/or criminal risk.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Strong analytical and problem‑solving skills.
  • Influence and collaboration skills, with a focus on cross‑group collaboration.
  • Ability to manage ambiguity and make data‑driven decisions.
