Sourcing and Procurement Services, IT Software Lead
Full-time
The Sourcing and Procurement Services (SPS) IT Software Lead is responsible for governing strategic IT Software relationships across the enterprise. The role works closely with area of responsibility executives, technology, and delivery leads to support sourcing, risk management, performance measurement, and sustainable partner development. The Lead will acquire new IT Software at the lowest costs consistent with quality pre‑ and post‑sale support and develop proactive cost‑optimization strategies to reduce total ownership costs.
Responsibilities- Deliver IT Software sourcing strategies, lead strategic initiatives, and drive negotiations.
- Develop sourcing performance metrics for the IT Sourcing and Procurement Solutions tower.
- Lead the strategic sourcing and procurement service delivery for software licensing, supporting enterprise‑wide mission‑critical applications.
- Develop, negotiate, and manage technology contracts; serve as business driver for all requirements.
- Build and maintain relationships and procedural strategies with Legal, Tax, Treasury, finance, security, data privacy, architecture, and executive leadership teams.
- Collaborate with business development teams to shape technology software agreements and support high‑level stakeholder relationships.
- Promote best practices in sourcing, procurement, and contract development, including “better in class” terms and conditions.
- Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain, Business Administration, Finance, Accounting, or equivalent IT sourcing experience.
- Minimum of 10 years’ experience in IT Software procurement or sourcing service delivery.
- 5 years of IT procurement management experience or experience in an IT Software operational management capacity.
- Proven success in complex or challenging IT Software enterprise environments.
- Experience working within an influence‑management corporate structure.
- Experience with mainframe software and/or leasing is a plus.
- Experience working with virtual teams preferred.
- Proficiency in development and coaching preferred.
- Excellent interpersonal, analytical, data management, business operations, financial analysis, project and program management skills.
- Strong verbal and written communication, presentation skills, and customer orientation.
- Ability to prioritize among multiple high‑priority items.
- Knowledge of sourcing and procurement processes preferred.
