LMS Implementation Specialist

The LMS Implementation Specialist helps bring our training vision to life by managing the setup, launch, and maintenance of courses, modules, and events within the learning management system. This role blends technical skills with collaboration, ensuring that learners can access high-quality, accurate, and well-organized content. The LMS Implementation Specialist also provides support to learners and team members, contributing to seamless access and positive learning experiences.

Responsibilities
  • Build and configure courses, modules, and live event registrations in the LMS.
  • Review and update existing content to ensure accuracy and accessibility.
  • Collaborate with teaching and learning specialists, program administrators, and other team members to design and launch new learning opportunities.
  • Assist with support desk duties, responding to learner inquiries as needed.
  • Partner with colleagues across teams, including the IDEA Team Lead and the Community Engagement & Partnerships Lead, to integrate content that reflects diverse needs and perspectives.
  • Contribute to cross-team projects or tasks beyond LMS implementation, such as supporting live training logistics.
  • Provides technical and administrative support for a research project.
  • Collects and enters data. Assists in analyzing data. Assists with preparation of reports, manuscripts and other documents.
  • Assists with the installation, sets up and performs experiments; interacting with students and other laboratory staff under the direction of the principal investigator.
  • May assist recruiting and scheduling research subjects; assisting with developing or amending study protocols; assisting with developing data collection tools; assisting with building databases; and providing general administrative support. Is developing skills in research techniques or methods, regulatory policies and procedures, and relevant scientific field.
  • Performs other related work as needed.
Minimum Qualifications

Education:

Minimum requirements include vocational training, apprenticeships or the equivalent experience in related field (not typically required to have a four-year degree).

Work Experience:

Minimum requirements include knowledge and skills developed through 2-5 years of work experience in a related job discipline.

Preferred Qualifications
  • Advanced degree.
  • Experience with Learning Management Systems, Zendesk, and Articulate.

  • Comfort with technology and enthusiasm for learning new tools.
  • Strong attention to detail and ability to manage multiple tasks and deadlines.
  • Clear communication skills, including the ability to explain technical processes to non-technical colleagues.
