Digital Employee Experience Engineer
The Digital Employee Experience (DEX) Engineer provides technical expertise in end user engineering to strengthen the reliability, efficiency, and performance of the enterprise by utilizing DEX and endpoint management tools.
It is critical that this role be a technical partner to implement established standards and procedures which support the enterprise's managed infrastructure along with ensuring operational stability.
This role is responsible for identifying issues that require remediation and implementing reliable solutions and automations that maintain the integrity of the existing infrastructure as well as meet the customer objectives.
The DEX engineer must work effectively in a team to establish synergies with IT peers across the enterprise.
Key duties include:
- Identifying efficiency and automation needs and creating and implementing solutions based on issues being reported by field peers, management and project teams.
- Identifying efficiency potential and developing remediations by analyzing raw DEX toolset data.
- Identifying root cause of known and unknown issues through the use of DEX tools when escalations are brought to the team.
- Interpreting data and creating reporting from DEX tools.
- Gathering business and technical requirements.
- Coordinating and leading in the design, testing, evaluation, implementation, and support for multiple complex automation/remediation solutions through DEX toolsets that will impact hardware, software, operating systems, systems tools, and IT processes alike.
- Evaluating business requirements and recommending correct DEX technologies that will enhance availability, reliability, scalability, and security while consistently driving down total cost of ownership and support.
- Proactively consulting with other business units to coordinate needs, issue research/remediation and implementation timelines.
- Designing and documenting DEX standards and procedures, and training on usage when necessary.
- Ensuring engineered solutions conform to established enterprise/industry standards and reference models.
- Providing technical support, as needed, to the enterprise with use of DEX tools.
- Coordinating activities with internal/external technology owners/service providers.
- Creating detailed documentation for all engineering solutions.
Technical skills required:
- Lakeside Sys Track or 1E Tachyon expertise
- Intermediate to expert skill level with Power Shell
- Active Directory – Expertise of basic concepts; groups/memberships/security
- Group Policy – Understanding GPO utilization in an enterprise environment
- Microsoft SCCM or VMWare Workspace ONE experience

- Technical expertise – Demonstrates a commitment to increasing knowledge and skills in providing architecture, engineering and operations direction and support of end user device management in a large enterprise, keeping up to date on technical developments and industry practices.
- Demonstrated success in managing complex technical projects that require innovative solutions.
- Demonstrated success in delivering results on complex technical challenges including strong investigative and problem-solving skills.
Knowledge/skills preferred:
- Intermediate to expert SQL experience
- SCALE Script Language experience
- SQL Server Reporting Services and/or Power Bi
Experience required:
- 2+ years of experience navigating and developing solutions in either 1E Tachyon or Lakeside Sys Track.
- 5+ years of progressively responsible work experience specifically in Enterprise Endpoint Engineering.
- 5+ years’ experience with integrating multiple complex solutions into one standard enterprise solution.
