Principal Engineer – M365 Platform

This role will oversee implementation and adoption of the M365 Platform and Services including the core services and the support/implementation model while working with leaders on roadmap development, implementation of standards, and governance. In addition, this role, working alongside of Enterprise Architecture, will work with senior leaders to develop and architect strategic initiatives that align with the organization's overall Azure strategy.

This is a hybrid hands-on technical engineering/architecture + leadership position.

• This role requires the ability to lead this area with little to no guidance; able to collaborate with others to set direction, goals and objectives and then lead the team to achieve them.
• Lead the development of an organization's M365 Platform, including develop the service, domain architecture that enables the Business and the Architecture Vision, in a way that addresses the stakeholder concerns.
• Define roadmap components for M365 Platform and services based upon gaps between the Baseline and Target Data and Integration Architectures
• Ensure that the M365 services are aligned with the organization's overall goals and objectives.
• Develop and maintain M365 governance, standards, and guidelines to ensure that the organization's M365 platform is secure and compliant with industry standards.
• Oversee the selection and implementation of technology solutions that meet the organization's needs.
• Identify areas for solution, capability improvement and implementing strategies, roadmap to address them.
• Collaborate with stakeholders across the organization to identify and participate in prioritize initiatives.
• Stay up to date with emerging M365 technology trends and developments and evaluating their potential impact on the organization.
• Communicate technology target state, roadmap and development progress to your leadership and other stakeholders.

• 10+ years of experience with Microsoft-focused Cloud/Infrastructure Engineering (ideally Azure)
• 5+ years of experience with M365 Engineering and/or Architecture
• 2+ years of experience leading teams, projects and/or technical initiatives related to the M365 platform
• Must have strong knowledge of M365 applications, security, architecture, governance concepts, & frameworks.
• Must have experience with roadmap development and execution

• Powershell experience to automating processes
• Experience managing a M365 environment in global setting
• Experience working in a professional services environment
• Bachelor's Degree or Master's Degree in a relevant field
