Job Description:
- Solutions Engineer II for delivery of GBAM global monitoring Strategy Rollout of Dynatrace as the strategic monitoring tool across banking applications, replacing App Dynamics.
- SME for GBAM monitoring tools that form part of the global monitoring strategy.
- Monitoring setup for Applications on Cloud and Containers infrastructure.
- Lead the deployment and integration of new monitoring tools across the GBAM organization and applications.
- Host demos, overviews and training of the monitoring tools for adoption across teams, preparing related materials to support sessions and adoption of tools (presentations, operational manuals etc.).
- Liaise with regional technical leads in the planning and scheduling of deployments.
- Consult with the local teams and assist in configuration of monitoring events/dashboards to maximize the potential use of monitoring tools.
- Preparation of regional reporting of monitoring tools adoption and other related data points and other relevant metrics.
- Participate in global discussions on the continuation and evolution on global monitoring strategy.
- Drive application event-based automation.
- Experience with Splunk.

Skills:
- Dynatrace
- Splunk Enterprise including the deployment, instrumentation and leveraging of the tool for analytical and alerting capabilities
- Proven experience with supporting monitoring tools such as – Tivoli, Microfocus BPM, Sitescope, Dynatrace, Catchpoint etc.
- Knowledge of OS (Windows/Unix) based infrastructure services, processing, monitoring, shell scripts, etc.
- Proven experience in programming languages (Java and/) - Proven experience in application/network performance and availability monitoring - Proven experience in N-Tier Architecture supporting a multitude of products (Webserver, Middleware, Database, etc.)
- Knowledge of ITIL functions and processes
- An excellent communicator, able to network and influence across multiple levels is required of this role
- A self-motivated, hands-on, driven individual with strong leadership skills
- A strategic thinker who can link business context to technical reality.
