Murex Technical Consultant

CST (8am - 5pm) Role:
Our financial and banking services client is looking for an experienced Murex Technical Consultant responsible for enhancing and supporting current Murex (for Credit and Market Risk) implementation. The role will revolve around the support of the Murex application as well as current application development team to drive superior business value, enhanced customer experience and compliance. The associate is expected to interface with multiple traders and Credit/Market Risk Managers.
This is a demanding 6-month long role with an opportunity to collaborate with the experts in the capital market space.
Responsibilities:
- Participate in the triage of critical Murex issues to ensure that Murex operational SLAs are met.
- Perform root cause analysis to identify the root cause of incidents.
- Implement enhancements and bug fixes in Murex application.
- Participate in key optimization initiatives undertaken by the team to meet strategic goals and enhance customer experience.
- Collaborate with internal/external stakeholders, offshore service providers and vendors to drive synergies and deliver solutions.
- Ensure adherence to architectural guidelines and IT risk policies.
- Create and maintain comprehensive documentation of all Production issues adhering to documentation SLAs.
- Report status and escalate issues and concerns to senior management as needed.
Required Qualifications:
- A College or University degree in Computer Science or Engineering
- Solid technical background with at least 3 years of demonstrated track record in end-to-end software development life cycle and successful delivery of technical solutions using Murex and Java.
- Expertise in Murex, particularly workflows, real-time, PFE, VaR and counter-party configurations
- Experience with project feasibility, definition requirements, and design and/or project leadership.
- Experience with various technical programming languages, and phase report studies are required.
- Analytical and problem solving skills are needed for systems guidance.
