Network Engineer

We are partnering with a global trading firm that is building and maintaining high-performance, low-latency networks to support mission-critical trading activity across multiple regions. This is a hands‑on engineering role focused on designing, automating, and optimising network infrastructure where speed, resilience, and precision genuinely matter.

You will join a highly technical environment where network engineering sits close to the front line of the business, working with smart, fast-moving teams that care deeply about performance and reliability. • Design, implement, and support low‑latency network infrastructure across global sites and data centres.
• Work on routing, switching, and transport technologies to improve performance and resilience.
• Partner with infrastructure, systems, and trading technology teams to support critical business functions.
• Automate repeatable tasks and improve operational efficiency through scripting and tooling.
• Monitor, troubleshoot, and optimise networks to meet demanding latency and availability requirements.
• Support change, capacity planning, and incident response in a fast‑paced production environment.

• Strong network engineering experience in a high‑performance or mission‑critical environment.
• Deep understanding of routing and switching, network protocols, and resilient network design.
• Experience working with low‑latency, high‑availability, or geographically distributed infrastructure.
• Good scripting or automation skills, ideally in Python or similar.
• A methodical approach to troubleshooting and problem‑solving under pressure.
• Strong communication skills and the ability to work effectively across technical teams.

• Experience in latency‑sensitive environment.
• Familiarity with monitoring, observability, and infrastructure automation.
• Knowledge of Linux systems or adjacent infrastructure technologies.
