ServiceNow ITAM Specialist

A major enterprise organization in Chicago is expanding its Service Now capability and is seeking an experienced Service Now ITAM Specialist to join their high‑performing technology team. This role plays a critical part in shaping and maturing the organization's Asset Management function, working across Hardware Asset Management (HAM), Software Asset Management (SAM), and ITIL v4/v5 aligned processes. You’ll work closely with cross‑functional teams to optimize asset lifecycle management, enhance governance, and ensure the organization maximizes value from its technology investments.

• Lead and support Service Now IT Asset Management initiatives across the enterprise
• Configure, enhance, and maintain HAM, SAM, and ITAM modules within Service Now
• Manage and optimize contracts, content library, and asset workspace
• Oversee asset lifecycle processes including procurement, onboarding, maintenance, and retirement
• Ensure alignment with ITIL best practices
• Collaborate with procurement, finance, security, and operations teams to maintain accurate asset data
• Drive continuous improvement across asset governance, compliance, and reporting
• Support audits, licensing reviews, and asset‑related risk assessments
• Provide subject‑matter expertise to internal teams and stakeholders

• Strong hands‑on experience with Service Now ITAM, including HAM and SAM
• Familiarity with contract management, content library, and asset workspace within Service Now
• Solid understanding of ITIL v4/v5 frameworks
• Ability to analyze complex asset data and produce actionable insights
• Strong communication skills with the ability to work across technical and non‑technical teams
• Experience improving asset processes, governance, and lifecycle management
