Network Engineer

We are seeking a Network Engineer to join a highly collaborative infrastructure team supporting a large-scale enterprise environment. This role offers a unique blend of operational support, network engineering, architecture, automation, and strategic project work. The ideal candidate enjoys solving complex networking challenges, improving reliability and performance, and partnering with cross-functional teams to deliver secure and scalable solutions.

This position provides exposure to modern networking technologies across on-premises and cloud environments while offering opportunities to influence standards, automation initiatives, and long-term infrastructure strategy.

• Design, implement, and support enterprise network infrastructure and services.
• Maintain and enhance network performance, availability, scalability, and security.
• Troubleshoot complex network issues across multiple environments and technologies.
• Develop, maintain, and improve network standards, policies, procedures, and documentation.
• Collaborate with engineering, security, cloud, and infrastructure teams on strategic initiatives.
• Participate in network architecture planning and technology evaluations.
• Identify opportunities for automation and operational efficiency improvements.
• Support infrastructure modernization and cloud networking initiatives.
• Mentor junior team members and share technical knowledge across the organization.
• Participate in on-call support and incident response activities as needed.

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Information Technology, or a related field, or equivalent professional experience.
• 5+ years of experience in network engineering, network operations, or infrastructure engineering.
• Strong expertise with enterprise networking technologies including:
• Cisco IOS and Nexus platforms
• Arista switching technologies
• Cisco ASA, Firepower (FTD), Fortinet, or similar firewall platforms
• VPN technologies
• Routing and switching protocols
• ACLs, STP, SNMP, and network security fundamentals
• Experience with cloud-managed networking platforms such as Cisco Meraki or similar solutions.
• Knowledge of cloud networking concepts including:
• Virtual Private Clouds (VPCs)
• Subnets
• Routing tables
• Hybrid connectivity architectures
• Experience with Infrastructure as Code (IaC) tools such as:
• Terraform
• Ansible
• Familiarity with network monitoring, observability, and troubleshooting tools.
• Strong understanding of network security best practices and principles.

• Industry certifications such as:
• CCNA
• CCNP
• Equivalent networking certifications
• Experience with SD-WAN technologies.
• Exposure to automation frameworks and CI/CD pipelines.
• Experience supporting hybrid cloud environments.
• Experience with Solar Winds or similar monitoring and network management platforms.
• Scripting experience using Python, Bash, Power Shell, or similar languages.
