Scrum Master, IT Project Manager
The Scrum Master will act as an effective change agent, promoting agile best practices to teams focusing on alignment with business, relentless improvement, and delivering value.
Responsibilities- Serve as the point of contact for agile best practices and a servant leader to scrum teams.
- Address blockers, facilitate agile meetings and ceremonies, and ensure the team is aligned with product/sprint goals.
- Use Azure Boards or other workflow tools to provide visibility into work for the team and stakeholders.
- Assist in implementing training programs and partner with Lead Scrum Masters and RTEs in portfolio planning efforts.
- Coach and continuously enforce agile best practices across teams.
- Support enterprise agile adoption by observing, evaluating, and implementing changes to remove organizational and cultural impediments.
- Collaborate with team and leadership to reinforce and teach agile best practice, driving continuous improvement in culture, processes, and delivery.
- Communicate changes, intended goals, timelines, and results to stakeholders.
- Monitor improvement in maturity, quality, predictability, and delivery and ensure coaching meets required outcomes.
- Act as a servant leader for teams just starting their agile journey, assess where they are, and set plans to move forward.
- Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience.
- One or more agile certifications preferred (CSM, CSPO, CSP, PSM, PSPO, SAFe).
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Energetic engagement with diverse team members and personalities.
- Ability to learn quickly and teach others by demonstrating what works and what does not.
- Strong Microsoft Office skills; ability to prepare presentations, charts, graphics, tables, speaker notes, and handouts.
- Effective organization, time‑management skills and strong attention to detail.
- 5+ years of active Scrum Master experience (prefer 8+).
- Scrum Master experience only, not just Agile experience.
- Experience working in complex environments with fast pace, challenging stakeholders, and an organization not fully mature in SAFe.
- Experience with Azure Dev Ops (Dashboards, reports, etc.).
- SAFe, Agile or other Scrum Master certification preferred.
- Hybrid Project Manager / Scrum Master experience is a plus.
- Experience in accounting or banking industry is a plus.
- Facilitating Scaled Agile ceremonies (PI Planning, Sprint Demos, Retrospectives, ART Sync/PI Sync) is a plus.
- Experience with PI level metrics and reporting to drive improvements is a plus.
- SAFe Coaching experience to drive process improvements and training is a plus.
- Traditional project manager or certification is a nice to have, but not required.
- Ability to work across multiple levels of the firm.
- Ability to handle a variety of personalities.
- Ability to influence and negotiate with a diverse population.
- Ability to support, affect, and implement change.
We offer a competitive benefits and compensation package, flexibility in your schedule, and a total rewards program. Compensation Range: $111,200 – $190,300. Selected individuals will be eligible for a discretionary bonus based on firm and individual performance.
