Sr/Lead BI & Analytics Analyst

What this job involves

As a BI & Analytics Analyst on our dedicated client team in Chicago, you will transform complex data into strategic business solutions within an AI‑enabled workplace. You will design and deliver cutting‑edge dashboards, reports, and analytics applications on a cloud‑based data platform by leveraging modern tools such as Databricks, Power BI, Tableau and Python, alongside emerging AI capabilities.

Day‑to‑Day Responsibilities
  • Manage and process data using Databricks, SQL and Python within cloud platforms, handling retrieval, profiling, validation and migration.
  • Design interactive dashboards in Power BI and Tableau that connect to cloud databases, published sources and external APIs using modern ETL/ELT processes and Git version control.
  • Create automated visualizations and reports using Python that deliver actionable insights tailored to specific business needs.
  • Explore and apply AI‑enabled tools to enhance analytical workflows, improve efficiency and unlock new insights while maintaining data quality and business context.
  • Partner directly with stakeholders and clients to understand their processes, challenges and analytical requirements, ensuring solutions align with business objectives.
  • Translate business questions into data analysis plans and execute independently or collaboratively, proactively identifying opportunities for improvement.
  • Drive cross‑functional initiatives that convert analytical insights into business recommendations and measurable outcomes.
  • Ensure data accuracy through peer review, automated testing and validation using Alteryx and cloud‑native tools.
  • Collaborate with governance teams and data stewards to establish quality standards and resolve critical data issues through root‑cause analysis.
Required Qualifications
  • 3+ years of experience with cloud data platforms (Databricks, Snowflake, Big Query or Azure Synapse) and advanced SQL including complex queries, stored procedures and optimization.
  • Expert proficiency in Tableau and Power BI for creating interactive dashboards and visualizations, plus expertise with Alteryx or similar ETL/data preparation tools.
  • Strong Python programming skills for data analysis and automation, with experience in collaborative development and Git.
  • Comfort working in AI‑enabled environments and willingness to explore emerging tools that enhance analytical capabilities.
  • 3+ years of business analysis or consulting experience in enterprise environments, preferably in commercial real estate, construction management or related fields.
  • Proven ability to translate technical concepts for non‑technical audiences and deliver presentations to senior management and external clients.
  • Strong project management skills leading cross‑functional analytics initiatives with an understanding of modern data architecture and cloud workflows.
  • Bachelor’s degree in Data Analytics, Information Systems, Business Administration or a related quantitative field.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Strong understanding of finance and accounting operations, financial analysis and modeling, and forecasting and budgeting processes.
  • Advanced experience with Databricks cloud platform and Python for building scalable data solutions and analytics workflows.
  • Familiarity with AI‑enabled analytics tools and experience applying them to enhance data analysis, automation or decision‑making processes.
  • Experience with SharePoint, Power Platform or similar collaboration tools.
  • Background in commercial real estate, construction management or related industries.
  • Experience working in fast‑paced, remote‑friendly environments managing multiple concurrent projects with exceptional attention to detail.
Estimated Compensation

80,000 – 120,000 USD per year
