The Associate Data Scientist is responsible for applying cutting‑edge analytics leveraging technologies such as AI/ML/Gen AI/Optimization to solve our clients’ complex problems. This role combines deep expertise in predictive and prescriptive modeling with a strong understanding of supply chain dynamics to deliver transformative insights in integrated planning. The ideal candidate will demonstrate deep advanced analytic skills, build trusted partnerships with key stakeholders, and serve as a thought leader in the application of data science to supply chain strategy.
Hybrid role based at 345 N Morgan St, Chicago, IL 60607. Candidates must reside in the Chicago metropolitan area. Relocation assistance is not offered at this time.
Responsibilities- Develop prescriptive and predictive analytics initiatives that enhance supply chain performance, including demand forecasting, inventory optimization, integrated planning, and risk mitigation.
- Develop and evangelize innovative modeling approaches, leveraging machine learning, simulation, and optimization to solve complex supply chain challenges.
- Support thought leadershipby identifying emerging trends and technologies.
- Influence stakeholdersthrough compelling storytelling, data-driven recommendations, and articulation of business impact.
- Collaborate cross-functionally with planning delivery, product, sales and account management, and technology to align analytics solutions with business priorities globally.
- Foster a culture of continuous learning and analytical excellence.
- Design and implement scalable analytics frameworksand tools that support long‑term supply chain analytics transformation.
- Drive thought leadership in areas such as AI/ML/Optimization and other recent advancements in analytics and technology.
- Act as a trusted advisor on machine learning and AI; enable other team members to solve complex data science problems, including problem formulation, data preparation, model development, and output interpretation
- Master’s degree in operations research, mathematics, statistics, engineering or closely related field;
PhD preferred. - 1+ years of data analytics, business intelligence and/or insight experience, or relevant fields with a Bachelor’s degree and with a strong focus on predictive modeling in supply chain.
- Proven record of identifying and developing business relevant solutions and influencing executive decision making.
- Expertise in analytic tools and methodologies such as optimization, simulation, forecasting, machine learning, artificial intelligence.
- Advanced proficiency in Python, Databricks, AI and GenAI, prompt engineering, and Azure or equivalent cloud technologies.
- Familiarity with food service, restaurant operations, demand planning, supply planning, distribution and logistics a plus.
- Good communication skills and presence, with experience presenting to key stakeholders.

* Starting Salary is $90,000-$105,000 with a 5% targeted bonus
