Data Migration Specialist - LATAM

Job Description

• Extract and export data from PMS systems across multiple hotel properties.
• Rationalize and map data fields hotel-by-hotel for migration into new systems.
• Coordinate with internal hotel teams to gather and validate source data.
• Work closely with vendors responsible for executing technical data imports.
• Support multi-stage data migration efforts with a strong focus on quality and accuracy.
• Ensure reservation data aligns across systems (line-by-line reconciliation).
• Push validated data into Opera via Syn Xis integration environment.
• Maintain and manage large Excel datasets for pilot and production migrations.
• Identify data inconsistencies and troubleshoot mapping or integration issues.
• Assist in refining data mapping structures and evaluating migration tools.

• Strong experience with data migration, data mapping, and data validation.
• Experience extracting/exporting data from PMS (Property Management Systems).
• High level of attention to detail—must ensure reservation counts match line-by-line across systems.
• Experience working with large datasets in Excel (advanced proficiency required).
• Understanding of database structures and data dictionaries.
• Experience working with reporting teams or data-focused initiatives.
• Ability to work independently with minimal oversight.
• Strong collaboration skills with internal business and technical teams.
• Understanding of hotel operations and how PMS/CRS systems are used; experience with Syn Xis (central reservation system).
• Familiarity with Opera PMS and integrations.
• Exposure to Syn Xis environments and integration workflows.
• Experience with INSIST or Avalon systems.
• Background in hospitality systems or hotel data environments.
• Experience evaluating or implementing data mapping tools.
