Senior Manager, Data Governance

Responsibilities

• Develop, implement, and maintain enterprise data governance policies, standards, and processes
• Lead a small team to ensure data stewardship of data assets
• Establish data classification, retention, access management, and usage policies
• Drive adoption of governance best practices across data domains
• Define and operationalize governance practices specific to Azure Databricks
• Partner with Data Engineering to ensure governance controls are aligned
• Define and maintain data quality rules, metrics, thresholds, and monitoring processes
• Implement proactive measures to ensure accuracy, completeness, and consistency of data
• Lead the adoption and utilization of metadata and cataloging tools
• Ensure visibility into data assets, lineage, ownership, and usage
• Promote data discoverability and literacy across the organization
• Partner with Security, Privacy, and Legal teams to ensure compliance with standards
• Identify gaps in data controls and manage remediation
• Champion data governance as a repeatable practice
