Position Title: Engineer Senior

Job Description: Engineer Senior

Location: 8600 W Bryn Mawr Ave., Suite 800, Chicago, IL 60631. In-office 1 - 2 days per week with flexibility for collaboration and productivity, maintaining a dynamic and adaptable workplace.

Work Hours: Monday to Friday, 8:00 am to 5:00 pm

Salary: The salary range for this position is $153,317 - $154,317 per year for candidates in the specified location(s).

• Maintain active relationships with customers to determine business requirements and lead requirements gathering meetings.
• Own the change request process and coordinate with other teams as necessary.
• Provide technical advice and weigh in on technical decisions that impact cross-functional teams.
• Research and propose new technologies.
• Develop and own the list of final enhancements.
• Develop and define application scope and objectives and prepare technical and/or functional specifications from which programs will be written.
• Perform technical design reviews and code reviews.
• Own technical testing to ensure unit tests are completed and meet the test plan requirements; system testing is completed and the system is implemented according to plan.
• Assess current status and support data information planning.
• Coordinate on-call support and ensure effective monitoring of systems.
• Maintain the technical development environment.
• Mentor others and may lead multiple or small to medium-sized projects.
• Set direction at the project/service level and influence decision-making.
• Provide technical guidance and mentoring.
• Understand tradeoffs between technical, analytical and product needs of the technical solutions.
• Identify and propose strategies around technical problems affecting the team; communicate standards and gain buy-in on solutions.
• Facilitate group sessions to elicit complex information on requirements, clarification, design sessions, code reviews and troubleshooting issues.
• Support vendor evaluation.

• Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or related field; five (5) years of development, engineering or related experience.

• Five (5) years in development or related experience must include:
• Analytical experience working with large datasets, drawing meaningful insights in healthcare domain.
• EDI standards such as ANSI X12, EZConnect, and HL7.
• Data security best practices and standards such as HIPAA for healthcare data interchange and experience with encryption methods and data privacy regulations.
• ETL development using Data Stage/SSIS/C#/Python.
• SQL programming for writing complex queries, stored procedures, and triggers using Sybase/SQL Server/Oracle/MongoDB.
• Experience managing end-to-end data-related projects, including requirements gathering, planning, execution, and monitoring.

• Employer will accept a Master’s degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or related, and three (3) years in development, engineering or related experience. Must have skills listed above.
