Northern Trust Asset Management seeks a Solution Architect with strong expertise in building data and AI business solutions. The candidate will be part of a dynamic, fast‑paced global team driving strategic data initiatives for NTAM.
Key Skills- Solutioning Snowflake on Azure Cloud for complex business needs.
- Production‑enabled AI business tools and advanced analytics, including ML, AI, GenAI, Agentic AI and MLOps.
- Design, documentation and review of data and AI strategy for stakeholders across business and data teams.
- Architecture, building, deploying and maintaining business applications and modern cloud solutions.
- Experience with relational, dimensional, No
SQL data stores and data‑modeling techniques (Dimensional, Star, Data Vault, Snowflake). - Experience with Azure cloud services and architecture best practices.
- Strong understanding of DB concepts, database architecture, LDM & PDM, data flow diagrams.
- Comfortable with domain‑driven design and modern engineering practices.
- Document application architecture for the business unit across multiple programs.
- Interface with global teams to collaborate on business deliveries.
- Provide design‑level functional and technical expertise, recommending best practices.
- Implement latest delivery approaches based on cloud architecture.
- Build value‑creation and business capability models for large‑scale technology platforms.
- Lead technology proof‑of‑concepts to ensure feasibility of architecture solutions.
- Lead teams through influence, fostering knowledge of end‑to‑end solution considerations.
- Advise on database design, data models, data processes, and data‑warehouse applications.
- Promote data and AI strategy among stakeholders.
- Experience in solutioning Snowflake on Azure Cloud and meaningful AI business tooling.
- Investment Management or Asset Management experience (recommended).
- Cloud architecture certification (AWS or Azure) or equivalent experience.

SQL data stores and data modeling. - Experience configuring, maintaining and optimizing Snowflake databases.

Salary Range: $137,400 - $233,600 USD (base pay)
