The Workday Success Plans Team focuses on customers’ post Go‑Live journey, creating programs to help them drive business value from their Workday applications. The team delivers a variety of programs and services ranging from feature demonstrations to full feature deployments.

The Role

As a Workday Financials Expert, you’ll work directly with customers through targeted micro‑consulting engagements to solve their business needs using the Workday application. You will act as a trusted advisor, assisting customers with how‑to questions, troubleshooting, configuration guidance, and feature demonstrations.

Primary Responsibilities
  • Conduct research to ensure understanding of customer questions and related Workday concepts.
  • Deliver small‑scope consulting in response to customer requests, providing configuration guidance, demonstrations, considerations, tips, and tricks.
  • Troubleshoot product configuration to resolve or provide optimal product configuration to meet customer business requirements.
  • Communicate responses and value to customers clearly and effectively.
  • Create and deliver customer presentations on how to use Workday features to achieve business goals (Accelerator Webinars).
  • Provide one‑on‑one consulting guidance to accelerate customer feature adoption (Feature Accelerator).
  • Review customer tenants to identify adoption opportunities (Feature Adoption Tenant Reviews).
  • Maintain product expertise and Workday certifications, staying familiar with the Workday roadmap.
  • Keep up to date with industry practices and engage customers on those topics.
  • Help drive the creation of new programs to drive customer feature adoption.
Additional Customer Enablement Services
  • Office Hours to conduct appointment‑based consulting engagements, providing guidance and product expertise to customers.
  • Perform configuration and business requirements reviews, delivering detailed deliverables that highlight opportunities for optimization.
  • Provide one‑on‑one customer configuration designs.
  • Deploy full Workday feature deployments.
About You Basic Qualifications
  • 3 years of IT implementation experience.
  • 3 years of experience with software consulting and deployment, including but not limited to People Soft, SAP, Oracle, and/or JD Edwards.
  • 1+ years of Workday consulting experience or experience as a Workday SME in at least one of the following areas: FDM, Record to Report, Grants.
Additional Qualifications
  • Workday certification, or ability to certify in at least one of the following: FDM, Record to Report, Grants.
  • Ability to gain a thorough understanding of Workday concepts as new features are released.
  • Ability to distill complex concepts into understandable presentations for customers.
  • Ability to multitask and work on multiple engagements and deliverables simultaneously.
  • Strong critical thinking skills to understand complex, technical process issues and facilitate/influence decision‑making.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Ability to travel up to 20 %.
  • Bachelor’s degree or relevant work experience required. Advanced degree preferred.
Pay Transparency Statement

Primary

Location:

USA. IL. Chicago

Base Pay Range: $104,500 USD – $156,700 USD

Additional US Locations: $94,600 USD – $167,900 USD

Our approach requires spending at least half of the time each quarter in the office or in the field, allowing flexibility to create a schedule that meets business, team, and personal needs.
