Mainframe Modernization & Migration Architect – Google Cloud Platform

• Lead large‑scale mainframe modernization and cloud migration initiatives on Google Cloud Platform.
• Strategically advise executive stakeholders (VPs, steering committees) on cloud transformation strategies and roadmaps.
• Assess and modernize legacy systems built on COBOL, PL/I, CICS, IMS, DB2, VSAM, JCL, and batch workloads.
• Design migration strategies including re‑host (lift & shift), re‑platform, and re‑factor.
• Architect dual‑run solutions for parallel testing, validation, and risk‑free cutovers.
• Design event‑driven integrations using Pub/Sub, APIs, Big Query, Cloud Storage, and GKE.
• Develop end‑to‑end Google Cloud architecture covering applications, data, networking, security, governance, and disaster recovery.
• Define data migration strategies, including change data capture, reconciliation, rollback, and performance optimization.
• Drive automation, Dev Ops, CI/CD, and Agentic AI adoption.
• Support production cutovers, troubleshooting, and post‑migration stabilization.

• 12+ years in enterprise application/platform architecture.
• 6+ years in mainframe modernization or legacy transformation.
• Proven experience leading enterprise‑scale mainframe‑to‑cloud migration programs.
• Deep knowledge of Google Cloud Platform architecture and services.
• Expertise in cloud migration strategies (re‑host, re‑platform, re‑factor).
• Experience with event‑driven and hybrid architectures.
• Strong understanding of security, IAM, compliance, and governance.
• Proficiency in Dev Ops, CI/CD, and automation.
• Ability to manage senior stakeholders and lead end‑to‑end modernization programs from strategy to production deployment.
