Self‑directed and forward‑looking, the Principal Enterprise Architect plays an executive role in evaluating and interpreting emerging technology trends—such as Agentic and Generative AI—to provide strategic insight for integrating them into retail grocery and enterprise technology landscapes.

Responsibilities include:

• Developing enterprise reference architectures and technology standards; driving rationalization opportunities.
• Guiding target‑state definition and roadmap sequencing across domains and platforms.
• Running design authority processes; resolving cross‑program architecture issues and risks.
• Evaluating market and technology trends; recommending adoption, expansion, or retirement paths.
• Partnering with Finance to align architecture choices with TCO and value realization.
• Coaching architects and engineering leaders on modern design and integration practices.
• Ensuring alignment between business strategy and technology architecture.
• Leading enterprise‑wide architecture governance and decision frameworks.
• Mandated support for critical escalations with mandatory availability during urgent IT incidents.

• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent years of work experience.
• 10+ years in solution/enterprise architecture, mandating governance and standards leadership.
• Strong business acumen and analytical judgment; ability to simplify complex decisions.

• Experience implementing reference architectures in cloud‑enabled environments and product operating models.
