SAP Analytics Cloud for Planning (SAC Planning) Consultant

Job Overview

This role supports the deployment and delivery of SAP Analytics Cloud for Planning solutions, working directly with customers to design, configure, and implement BPC and SAC planning features, and to drive demand generation and business development activities.

Responsibilities
  • Work with the customer’s FP&A Lead to design and build planning requirements around revenue, cost of sales, and cost allocations in the solution.
  • Lead BPC planning workshop sessions and blueprint processes to capture key design decisions and process requirements.
  • Guide architecture decisions based on industry standards and best practices.
  • Collaborate with end users to design the appropriate BPC solution(s) to support defined business processes.
  • Support business process and solution architecture design sessions.
  • Perform initial setup, prototyping, configuration, and testing to fulfill customer business requirements.
  • Recommend best practices for configuring SAC Planning to achieve integration, high performance, and stability.
  • Develop planning documentation, record system‑related decisions, document test results, and support go‑live efforts.
  • Participate in training and knowledge transfer sessions for end users.
  • Provide continuous feedback on project status and offer constructive options to ensure the project meets expectations.
  • Contribute to business development by preparing RFPs, building demos, and supporting presales activities.
  • Maintain strong, professional customer service commitments.
  • Use technical and industry knowledge to identify complex issues and build long‑term relationships with key executives.
  • Produce thought leadership, such as publishing articles, white papers, and speaking at SAP conferences.
  • Manage and provide leadership to entry‑level consultants, and support team development and practice management.
  • Exemplify corporate values and commitment to excellence at all levels.
Requirements and Qualifications
  • Proven experience leading full‑lifecycle SAP BPC implementation projects, preferably BPC 10.1 or 11 (Standard and Embedded).
  • Techno‑functional knowledge of SAP Finance, SAP ECCS, and SAP BI/BW.
  • Strong understanding of FP&A and accounting concepts, including general ledger, asset accounting, controlling, and profitability.
  • Hands‑on experience with SAP BPC reporting, planning functionality, and script logic.
  • Strong analytical and problem‑solving skills.
  • Certification in SAP BPC 10.0 or BPC 11, or equivalent practical experience.
  • Experience or conceptual knowledge of banking and financial services industry.
  • Ability to translate technology concepts and requirements into business terms.
  • Bachelor’s degree from an accredited institution (MBA or MIS is a plus).
  • Demonstrated track record of leadership, client management, and delivery.
  • Thirst for knowledge and eagerness to learn new skills.
  • Ability to travel up to 100% of the time.
  • Highest standards of accuracy and precision; highly organized.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills in English and Spanish; strong listening skills.
  • Strong presentation skills.
  • Ability to work in a fast‑paced, collaborative, and driven environment.
  • A self‑starter who can manage deliverables independently within a strong team culture.
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities, network internally, and be accountable for decisions.
