Duration: 06+ Months with Possible Extension.
Pay Range: $45-$50/Hour on W2/C2C (All inclusive)
We are seeking a highly experienced Senior Nutanix Migration Architect with 8 10+ years of enterprise infrastructure experience and deep expertise in Nutanix Hyperconverged Infrastructure (HCI) to lead the migration of enterprise workloads from Client vSphere to Nutanix AHV. This is a hands-on technical leadership role responsible for designing migration strategies, implementing Nutanix solutions, and mentoring infrastructure teams throughout the migration lifecycle.
The ideal candidate will serve as the primary Nutanix Subject Matter Expert (SME), providing architectural guidance, technical leadership, and knowledge transfer to ensure a successful datacenter transformation.
Key Responsibilities Technical Leadership- Serve as the primary Nutanix SME for Client to Nutanix AHV migration initiatives.
- Lead architecture, design, implementation, and migration activities across enterprise infrastructure environments.
- Review infrastructure designs and ensure alignment with Nutanix best practices.
- Provide technical leadership, mentoring, and knowledge transfer to internal infrastructure and operations teams.
- Collaborate with stakeholders, architects, and project managers to ensure successful project delivery.
- Assess existing Client vSphere environments and develop migration strategies.
- Design and implement target-state Nutanix AHV architecture.
- Lead migration planning workshops and execution activities.
- Perform workload assessments, dependency analysis, and migration sequencing.
- Execute and oversee virtual machine migrations with minimal business disruption.
- Validate migration success through testing, performance tuning, and post-migration support.
- Deploy, configure, and optimize Nutanix HCI clusters.
- Configure Nutanix Prism, AHV, networking, storage, and compute resources.
- Monitor cluster health, capacity, and performance.
- Implement high availability, disaster recovery, backup, and security best practices.
- Troubleshoot infrastructure, virtualization, storage, and networking issues.
- Create architecture documentation, migration runbooks, and operational procedures.
- Develop implementation standards and best practices.
- Support operational readiness and transition to infrastructure support teams.
- 8 10+ years of enterprise infrastructure experience.
- 5+ years of hands-on experience with Nutanix Hyperconverged Infrastructure (HCI).
- Strong experience with Client vSphere to Nutanix AHV migration projects.

- Strong troubleshooting and performance optimization skills.
- Experience mentoring infrastructure teams and leading technical workshops.
- Excellent communication, documentation, and stakeholder management skills.
- Nutanix Certified Professional (NCP), Nutanix Certified Expert (NCX), or equivalent certifications.
- Experience with Veeam, Commvault, or enterprise backup solutions.
- Familiarity with Power Shell, Python, or automation tools.
- Experience with disaster recovery and business continuity planning.
- Exposure to cloud platforms such as Azure or AWS.
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Engineering, or a related field.
- 8 10+ years of enterprise infrastructure experience with strong expertise in virtualization and Nutanix technologies.
