Vulnerability Remediation & Automation Support
Join a dynamic team supporting enterprise end-user computing environments through vulnerability remediation and automation. This role focuses on optimizing desktop and application deployment processes, leveraging virtualization and endpoint management tools to enhance user experience and security.
Key Responsibilities
- Deploy and patch applications within end-user environments using VMware App Stacks.
- Troubleshoot application installation, performance, and runtime issues across desktop and mobile platforms.
- Maintain and update OS base builds, including feature updates, software patches, and vulnerability remediation.
- Design and implement automation solutions to streamline end-user engineering workflows.
- Develop, debug, and deploy software supporting end-user engineering objectives.
- Resolve systems integration, compatibility, and multi-platform challenges.
- Participate in on-call support rotations and document changes, policies, and architecture diagrams.
- Identify opportunities to improve the end-user experience through data-driven process enhancements.
Required Qualifications
- Proven experience packaging applications with VMware App Stacks for VDI environments.
- Ability to configure and manage VMware UEM/DEM for user profile and environment settings.
- Extensive troubleshooting skills for desktop and mobile applications in enterprise settings.
- Experience maintaining OS base builds, including security patches and vulnerability remediation.
- Skilled in designing and deploying automation workflows or scripts to reduce manual effort.
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field, or at least 4 years of equivalent professional experience.
- Minimum of 5 years supporting Windows desktop OS environments (Windows 10/11).
- Minimum of 3 years deploying applications across enterprise desktops using modern tools.
- At least 3 years scripting experience in Power Shell, Python, Bash, or VBScript.
- 3+ years building and maintaining VDI environments with VMware Horizon.
- 3+ years in desktop engineering or end-user experience engineering roles.
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience in regulated financial services or capital markets environments.
- Familiarity with ITIL service management practices.
- Knowledge of enterprise observability and monitoring tools.
- Heavy App Volumes experience.
