Servicenow Practice Lead

Founded in 2007, DTI (Diversified Technology, Inc.) is a growing IT Consulting/Staffing firm based in downtown Chicago.

We focus on providing delivery, staffing, and supported services such as enterprise integration/implementations including, but not limited to, CRM, EAM, ERP, PMO, and QA. We service clients in SLED (state/local gov't & education), financial services, fortune, public utility, as well as regularly partnering with Big 4 SI partners.

We are looking for a hands-on, entrepreneurial Service Now Practice Lead to build and grow our Service Now consulting capability within a small but dynamic IT services firm in Chicago, IL. In this strategic role, you will define and execute the vision for the practice, lead end-to-end Service Now implementations, and serve as the primary advisor to clients. You'll work closely with senior leadership, manage a lean team, and be directly involved in delivering solutions while scaling the practice to meet growing demand.

The ideal candidate brings deep expertise in the Service Now platform, a strong consulting background, and the flexibility to wear multiple hats in a fast-paced, evolving environment. You will need to be comfortable working with a lean team, scaling operations as we grow.

Chicago, IL (Onsite Required) This is an onsite position based in Chicago. Candidates must also be flexible and open to travel as needed

Key Responsibilities
  • Practice Leadership
    • Develop and execute the strategic roadmap for the Service Now practice in alignment with company goals.
    • Define service offerings and go-to-market strategies for ITSM, ITOM, HRSD, CSM, Sec Ops, and custom Service Now applications.
    • Build and lead a team of Service Now consultants, developers, architects, and engagement managers.
  • Client Engagement & Delivery
    • Serve as a trusted advisor to clients, providing strategic guidance on Service Now implementations and roadmaps.
    • Oversee the delivery of complex Service Now projects, ensuring high-quality results, on-time completion, and customer satisfaction.
    • Partner with clients to design and implement scalable, sustainable, and innovative Service Now solutions.
  • Sales & Business Development
    • Collaborate with the sales team to support pre-sales efforts, including RFP responses, solution demos, and scope definition.
    • Drive revenue growth by identifying new opportunities within existing accounts and cultivating new client relationships.
    • Represent the Service Now practice in industry events, webinars, and marketing initiatives.
  • Team Development
    • Mentor, and retain top Service Now talent.
    • Manage ongoing training and career development opportunities for team members.
    • Promote a culture of innovation, collaboration, and continuous improvement.
Qualifications
  • Experience establishing a Service Now practice within a consulting firm.
  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field (Master's preferred).
  • 10+ years of experience in IT consulting or professional services, with at least 5 years focused on Service Now.
  • Proven experience leading Service Now implementations across multiple modules.
  • Service Now certifications such as CSA, CIS (ITSM, HRSD, ITOM, etc.), and CTA preferred.
  • Strong knowledge of ITIL, Agile delivery, and enterprise architecture principles.
  • Excellent communication, leadership, and stakeholder management skills.
Preferred Skills
  • Ability to translate business needs into technical solutions and articulate value propositions.
  • Familiarity with cloud platforms (AWS, Azure), Dev Ops tools, and integration strategies.
