Linux Engineer - High-Frequency Trading | Chicago
We’re looking for a Linux Engineer to help build, optimize, and support the high-performance infrastructure behind a low-latency electronic trading environment.
- Engineer and support high-performance Linux systems used for real-time trading
- Tune Linux servers for ultra-low latency, including kernel, CPU, memory, NUMA, networking, and system performance
- Automate infrastructure deployment, configuration, monitoring, and operational processes
- Troubleshoot complex performance and reliability issues across production trading systems
- Support bare-metal servers, high-speed networking, and colocated trading infrastructure
- Partner closely with software engineers, traders, and network engines to improve trading platform performance
Strong Linux systems engineering and scripting/automation experience required
Experience with low-latency systems, performance tuning, or financial/trading environments is highly preferred
