Job Description
Rush University Medical Center is looking for a Clinical Application Analyst to support their Clinical Integration team under Inpatient Clinical IT Services. This individual will support ~30 clinical applications, with heavier involvement in ~7–8 core systems.
This is not an Epic-heavy role — it focuses on applications + integrations + devices.
Responsibilities- Supporting and optimizing clinical applications across departments
- Managing integrations between devices and core systems (including Epic touchpoints)
- Troubleshooting across application, device, and infrastructure layers
- Supporting systems such as Philips Telemetry, Vocera, Nurse Call, EEG/EMG platforms
- Partnering with informatics and IT teams on enhancements and implementations
- Supporting upgrades, patches, and ongoing system stability

- 2–5+ years of clinical application support experience (NOT EPIC FOCUSED)
- Balanced skill set across:
- ~40% application experience (build, support, lifecycle, troubleshooting)
- ~30% project management (requirements gathering, coordination, execution)
- ~30% device/infrastructure exposure (connectivity, integrations, basic networking/server knowledge)
- Experience working with application lifecycle and supporting production systems
- Exposure to integrations / understanding how data moves between systems
- Ability to translate clinical/business requirements into system configurations
- Experience with clinical devices or integrations (telemetry, EEG, fetal monitoring, nurse call, etc.)
- Exposure to middleware platforms (Capsule, Connexall, etc.)
- Healthcare system experience (Rush, Advocate, etc.)
- Experience with alerting/communication platforms (Vocera, nurse call systems)
