Role Description s:
The SAP HANA and BW/4

HANA consultant is responsible for designing, developing, and implementing enterprise data warehousing and reporting solutions using SAP HANA Modeling, SAP BW/4

HANA, Smart Data Integration (SDI)/ETL, ABAP and SQL. This role focuses on building scalable data models, integrating data from multiple source systems, and enabling high-performance analytics and reporting for business users.

Key Responsibilities / Steps:

1. Requirement Gathering:
Work with business stakeholders to understand reporting, analytics, and data integration requirements.

2. Solution Design:
Architect end-to-end SAP BW/4

HANA and SAP HANA solutions aligned with business and technical needs.

3. Data Modeling:
Develop and optimize SAP HANA calculation views, CDS views, and SAP BW/4

HANA data models such as ADSOs, Composite Providers, and Open ODS Views.

4. Data Integration:
Design and implement SDI/ETL processes for extracting, transforming, and loading data from SAP and non-SAP systems.

5. SQL Development:
Write and tune complex SQL queries, procedures, and scripts for data processing and performance optimization.

6. Performance Optimization:
Monitor and improve query performance, data load efficiency, and system scalability.

7. Reporting Support:
Enable reporting tools and dashboards by providing clean, reliable, and well-structured data models.

8. Testing & Validation:
Perform unit testing, integration testing, and data validation to ensure data accuracy and consistency.

9. Documentation:
Prepare technical design documents, data flow diagrams, and support documentation.

10. Experience in BW 7.5 on HANA to BW/4

HANA migration

Required Skills:

· Strong experience in SAP HANA Modeling

· Expertise in SAP BW/4

HANA modeling

· Hands-on experience with Smart Data Integration (SDI) and ETL processes

· Experience on ABAP

· Advanced knowledge of SQL

· Knowledge on BODS

· Understanding of data warehousing concepts, performance tuning, and reporting architectures

· Ability to collaborate with cross-functional teams and business stakeholders

Minimum Qualifications:

· 10-12+ years of experience BW4

HANA, SAP HANA and SAC

· Demonstrated ability to communicate effectively across the different levels in the organization.
