Skills & Experience:

Prior experience leading or managing Epic revenue cycle IT resources. Demonstrated experience managing Epic revenue cycle ticket queues, work intake, backlog prioritization, analyst assignments, and escalations. Strong understanding of Epic revenue cycle applications, workflows, support models, and implementation activities. Experience partnering with Revenue Cycle Operations, IT leadership, and Epic application teams to translate operational priorities into actionable technical work. Proven ability to balance implementation initiatives, production support needs, system enhancements, and competing business priorities.

Experience establishing or improving IT governance, intake, prioritization, and ownership processes. Ability to evaluate team structure, analyst skill sets, workload distribution, and staffing needs. Experience developing IT operational reporting and tracking metrics such as ticket volume, resolution time, closure rates, and backlog health. Strong leadership, communication, stakeholder management, and escalation-management skills. Ability to mentor Epic analysts and establish clear documentation and operational standards.

Job Description:

We are seeking an experienced Revenue Cycle IT Manager to provide day-to-day leadership and oversight of Epic revenue cycle IT resources supporting a large-scale revenue cycle improvement initiative. This individual will serve as the connection point between Revenue Cycle Operations, IT leadership, and Epic application teams, ensuring that implementation priorities, support requests, and system enhancements are appropriately evaluated, prioritized, assigned, and completed.

The ideal candidate has previously led or managed Epic revenue cycle IT resources and understands how to manage ticket intake, analyst workloads, competing priorities, escalations, and operational expectations within a complex healthcare environment.

Key Responsibilities:

Provide day-to-day oversight of Epic revenue cycle IT resources, ensuring implementation priorities and support activities are completed efficiently and on time. Lead and manage Epic revenue cycle analysts, including workload assignment, resource coordination, prioritization, mentorship, and performance support. Manage revenue cycle IT activities across issue triage, ticket prioritization, escalation management, system enhancements, and implementation work. Organize and oversee the revenue cycle IT work intake process, including backlog management, prioritization frameworks, ticket ownership, and communication of status and next steps.

Partner with Revenue Cycle Operations and Epic analyst teams to align technical work with operational priorities and business needs. Establish governance structures for revenue cycle IT requests, enhancements, and system changes, including intake processes, prioritization standards, decision-making forums, and ownership models. Define ownership, governance, and ongoing maintenance processes for key revenue cycle technology tools and Epic functionality. Develop operational reporting and performance metrics for revenue cycle IT activities, including ticket volume, closure rates, resolution times, and backlog status.

Assess the current revenue cycle IT analyst team structure, including roles, responsibilities, skill sets, competencies, workload distribution, and alignment with organizational needs. Identify gaps in analyst capabilities and recommend training plans, staffing models, role definitions, and team development strategies. Mentor internal team members and establish sustainable documentation, operating procedures, and support standards. Advise Revenue Cycle and IT leadership on team structure, governance practices, resource needs, and opportunities to strengthen the long-term effectiveness of revenue cycle IT operations.
